Forgive yourself because nobody else is gonna do it

We beat ourselves up every day. We tell ourselves how stupid we are for doing this thing or not doing that thing. We look at ourselves and find all the bits we don’t like. We even blame ourselves for the bad things others have done to us. It borders on bullying! Why do we do this and how do we let ourselves get away with it?
